firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Steven Schmidt as a managing
director in its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT)
investment banking group. Schmidt will be based in the firms
Minneapolis office with a focus on commerce enablement and financial
technologies.
Schmidt was previously with Piper Jaffray investment banking and capital
markets from 19972008, responsible for leading origination and
execution efforts in technology capital markets. He then spent four
years with , overseeing strategy and
corporate development. Most recently, Schmidt served as a managing
director and calling officer at , a technology-focused M&A boutique firm.
After a successful 2014, we are well-positioned to invest in our
business and expanding our TMT team is a key strategic initiative for
