MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2014-- (NYSE:PJC), a leading investment bank and asset management firm, announced that Scott Taylor joined its , effective February 4, 2014.

Since 2007, Taylor has been executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of , a global provider of computer security, backup and availability software headquartered in Mountain View, California. In that role, Taylor manages Symantec’s global legal, government relations, corporate responsibility and ethics and compliance functions.

Prior to joining Symantec, Taylor was chief administrative officer, senior vice president and general counsel of Phoenix Technologies Ltd., a publicly traded technology company. Before that, he served as vice president and general counsel of Narus, Inc. Taylor began his legal career as a corporate attorney with the San Francisco-based law firm Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman).

Taylor is currently on the board of directors of VirnetX Holding Corp. Taylor is also a national advisory board member of the Stanford University Center for Comparative Studies on Race and Ethnicity.
