John Gast
John Gast is a director in the merchant banking group at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï focused on investments in healthcare IT, digital health and healthcare services companies. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, managing due diligence processes, supporting portfolio companies and managing the funds’ investor relations activities. He joined the merchant banking group in 2014 as an analyst.
Gast has served on the investment team for the following selected portfolio companies: Scientia Vascular, Integrity Orthopaedics, Cleerly, Moxe Health, Paragon 28, Akoya Biosciences, Clinicient, Elligo Health Research, HemaSource, Xenex Disinfection Services, OrthoAccel Technologies and VPay. Gast has held board observation responsibility for portfolio companies Foodsby and Mike’s Hot Honey and joint portfolio management responsibility for Integrity Orthopaedics, Cleerly, Moxe Health, Elligo Health Research and Xenex Disinfection Services. Gast serves on the nonprofit board of the Minnesota Council on Economic Education, where he serves as vice chair of the finance committee.
Gast graduated summa cum laude from American University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in economics.
