Greg Woodford is a managing director in the °µÍø³Ô¹Ï technology investment banking group, bringing more than 20 years’ experience serving middle market companies in the aerospace, defense and government services industries. Woodford has advised clients on a wide range of strategic alternatives including mergers & acquisitions (both buy side and sell side), recapitalizations, management buyouts and raising capital. He has represented companies ranging in size from $10 million to $250 million and has completed transactions with many of the industry’s leading companies including Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, CACI International, Raytheon, ICF International, ManTech International and SAIC, among others.

Previously, Woodford co-founded G Squared Capital Partners, which was acquired by °µÍø³Ô¹Ï in 2025. Before that, he was a senior managing director at the McLean Group and a managing director at BB&T Capital Markets (formerly The Windsor Group) from 1999 to 2013. Prior to BB&T Capital Markets, Woodford was a research equity analyst at Ferris Baker Watts covering the defense and government contracting industries. He previously worked for the institutional research group of Branch Cabell & Company (now RBC Dain Rauscher) in Richmond, Virginia.

Woodford holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond. He is a frequent industry speaker and author and is currently on the board of directors of the National Capital Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

He holds the following licenses: FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), NASAA Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) and FINRA Series 79 (Investment Banking) and is a member of the following organizations: the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).
